Ruth Tigers R.O.A.R.! Respectful Actions, Only Safe Behaviors, Always do their Best, Responsible Choices
Welcome to the 24-25 school year!
Mrs. Martin, our Dean of Student Engagement, and I are back together working as a team to lead Clarence Ruth for a third year. With the experience we have gained over the past three years we are truly excited to begin this school year and build upon the recent improvements to help our students reach new heights of success. We will continue to keep students’ safety and academic achievement our top priorities. Please understand our staff works hard each day to meet every student’s needs.
We are excited to share that Clarence Ruth Elementary is one of four schools in the Lompoc Unified School District that was awarded the Community Schools Grant. With the additional funding provided by the grant we will be able to provide more student enrichment programming and extracurricular activities as well as additional parent support and education services this school year.
We encourage all parents and guardians to be involved in their child’s education at Clarence Ruth. There are numerous opportunities to get involved such as Parent Teacher Association (PTA) meetings, School Site Council (SSC) meetings, English Language Acquisition Committee (ELAC) meetings, and volunteering on campus. You may contact our office to learn more. When visiting the campus during school hours we do require all visitors to check in at the front office and provide an ID for safety and security purposes.
ParentSquare is our primary method of communication for general school information and in cases of emergencies. We also send out a monthly bulletin with important information and dates of events. If you do not have the ParentSquare app. we highly recommend you download it to your phone.
If you are ever in need of assistance please call 805.742.2500.
Thank you for visiting our website.
With appreciation,
Mr. Velazquez
